We have a wide range of printheads and accessories to choose from, in order to meet any requirements even for the most demanding applications.
Printheads for HP® cartridges. This new generation of printheads is prepared to take advantage of the new smartcart technology, that allows for the ink type and level to be automatically detected. Furthermore, they replace the old blue cartridge lock (that sometimes would break due to long usage) by a new patented Click-N-Print system. Just lightly press the cartridge down a little, you'll hear a "click" and that's it. There are three versions:
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus, XB4JET, XB8JET, Compactline Cube, Compactline 3.0, Compactline 2.5
Printheads for Funai® cartridges. These printheads can automatically detect the type and the remaining ink level inside the cartridge. There are two versions:
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus, XB4JET, XB8JET, Compactline Cube, Compactline 3.0
Piezoelectric printheads with Trident® technology that use ink bottles. Available in versions for print heights of 50mm and 100mm, there are several models:
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus, XB4JET, XB8JET, Compactline Cube, Compactline 3.0
Piezoelectric printheads with Xaar® technology that use ink bottles. There are several models:
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus, XB4JET, XB8JET, Compactline Cube, Compactline 3.0
There are also sets for grouped printheads. The print height of a single printhead is 12.5mm, but by combining several heads together, it is possible to reach higher print heights. There are many combinations and, just like on the single printheads, they are also available in compact or flat versions:
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus (only up to Twin), X4JET (only up to Quadro), X4JET Plus (only up to Quadro), XB4JET (only up to Quadro), XB8JET, Compactline Cube (only up to Twin), Compactline 3.0 (in the 4 head version, only up to Quadro)
These double printheads were designed in a way that you do not need to stop the line to replace the cartridges. Contrasting with the Twin printhead, in the Zero Down Time printhead, both cartridges are at the same height. This way, when one of them runs out of ink, the system automatically uses the other cartridge to continue printing. To avoid ink drying on the nozzles of the cartridges, the systems does alternated prints, for example, in a relation of 3 to 1, so that the cartridges won't run out of ink at the same time. There are two versions, one for HP® cartridges and another one for Funai® cartridges.
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus, XB4JET, XB8JET, Compactline Cube, Compactline 3.0
When there aren't products traveling on the production line, this printhead automatically pulls the cartridge inside and close the front shutter. Like this, it prevents accumulation of dust in the cartridge, which is the main cause of ink drying on the nozzles. An additional product sensor is used about 4 seconds upstream from the main product sensor. Like this, we make sure that the cartridge is always at print position when a product passes in front of the printhead. Optionally, a positive atmosphere can be created inside the enclosure using external compressed air, making it completely impossible for dust to enter inside (assuming the compressed air is clean). Right now, this special head is only available for HP® cartridges, but there are plans for shutter printheads for Funai® cartridges and even for Twin cartridges.
This printhead is compatible with the following controllers: X2JET Plus, X4JET, X4JET Plus
We have mounting brackets for controllers and printheads. Printhead brackets are available in side and top versions. Furthermore, the Flexbracket option is also very popular. This option consists in a ball-bearing moving part with a spring that allows the printhead to smoothly slide back a little in case of contact with a product. With a Flexbracket, it is possible to print the closest to the product, resulting in a better print quality.
Connect a shaft encoder to the system in order to keep the conveyors speed synchronized with the controller at all times. This is absolutely necessary whenever a barcode needs to be printed, as an incorrect speed will make the resulting print image to compress or expand. If this is not a critical problem when printing text (as long the speed offset is not too great), when we are talking about barcodes, this problem will make them unreadable for scanners. This option is also recommended when the production line's speed is variable.
There are angle brackets for encoders (to make it rotate against the conveyor) and spring arm brackets (where the encoder can rotate even on the card box itself).
3-colored alarm lamps to show system errors (red), warnings (yellow) and normal operation (green). Also available with USB cable that not only allows the connection to the recent controllers but also to a computer running the iDesign software.
We have all kinds of cables. Cables to connect the printheads to the controller are available in lengths of 1m up to 25m. There are also splitter cables, so that you can connect several options at the same time into the I/O port of the controllers.
Small plastic cover with a rubber part where the cartridge's nozzles will engage, so that you can safely store your cartridges when a long system stop is expected. This avoids ink drying in the nozzles due to dust. Available for HP® and Funai® cartridges.
When the cartridges are opened and then stored for long periods of time, it can happen that the ink will dry on the nozzles or air will go inside the cartridge, which will cause bad quality prints. You can try to recover most of these cartridges using the ink activator set. Suck a little ink out with the syringe and this will completely remove any clogging and the air inside the cartridge. Only available for HP® cartridges.
Ink reservoirs to solve the problem of constant cartridge changes in applications that consume a lot of ink. Currently, only available for HP® cartridges.
When using UV ink, a UV lamp is necessary to make it dry on the product. Besides the UV lamp, we also have the necessary brackets to mount it in your production line. With the UV option, it is possible to make the ink to dry, even on the most difficult surfaces.
